"During this critical time in our history, we must recognize "the urgency of now" and utilize our collective voices to end systemic racism, poverty, mass incarceration and injustice. We must work collaboratively to empower marginalized and neglected communities, and bring healing so that our families can thrive. We believe that a unified community is greater than the forces of oppression, and we can accomplish more together than we can ever accomplish separately or individually. We believe that "Those who are closest to the problem are closest to the solution, but furthest away from power and resource". So it is our goal to gain power and resources for those marginalized communities and directly impacted leaders so that they have the tools necessary to create the change we want to see.
